AIST was not created to oppose anyone.
AIST was created to pave a way forward where everyone can walk together.

This is more than just the story of a school.

It’s about our entire community and the future we are building for our children.

An unwanted crisis

The American International School Vietnam (also known as AISVN) is facing an imminent risk of bankruptcy.

With total debts reaching trillions of VND, the school's liabilities far exceed its current asset value.

According to bankruptcy regulations, assets will be prioritized for bank loans and government taxes.

Parents - as unsecured creditors—stand to lose everything with almost zero hope of a refund.

We cannot just sit and wait.

What is AIST?

AISVN Together (AIST) is a non-profit Social Enterprise initiated by the AISVN parent community.

AIST was established as a representative body to amplify the voices of parents and drive a comprehensive restructuring solution for the school.

AIST’s Key Roles:

  • Representative: Acting on behalf of the authorized parent community.

  • Bridge: Serving as a primary link between investors, school owners, and regulatory authorities.

  • Oversight: Monitoring and supervising the restructuring process.

  • Protector: Safeguarding the rights and interests of both parents and students.

STEP 1: Consolidating parent power

The parent community unites to become the school's largest creditor bloc.

STEP 2: Restructuring the operating model

Establishing a new legal operating entity with a transparent financial structure, ensuring equitable interests for all stakeholders.

STEP 3: Attracting strategic investors

New investors join to restore the school and guarantee long-term educational stability.

Why is AIST necessary?
Before AIST, the parent community consisted of only individual voices:
  • No representative organization,

  • No standing in negotiations,

  • No capacity to create collective solutions.

AIST was created to change that:
  • When parents are united and organized,

  • We can amplify our voice to push for a practical and sustainable solution for AISVN.

Operating Principles of AIST:
Non-profit

AIST operates as a social enterprise model, with no profit distribution.

Transparency

All financial activities are disclosed publicly and subject to independent audits.

Community-driven

Every decision is directed toward the collective interests of parents and students.

The more parents join, the greater and faster the chances of AISVN’s recovery.
  • A united parent community has the power to drive change.

  • Beyond protecting our own rights, we are standing together to preserve a learning environment for the generations of AISVN students.

Strategic Partners and Accompanying Community

AIST warmly welcomes collaboration from:

  • Strategic Investors

  • Educational Organizations

  • Legal and Financial Experts

  • AISVN Alumni Community

Let’s Protect the Future of AISVN Together
  • AIST is not a solution for just a small group.

  • It is a collective effort of the entire parent community to find the best path forward for AISVN and for our students' academic future.

The academic future of AISVN students must not be left behind.

AIST is a collective effort by parents to find a transparent and sustainable solution for the school.

If you also wish to protect the rights of our students and the AISVN parent community, please follow and join us on this journey with AIST.
